The makers of Battlefield 3 seem to have stumbled in a minefield of their own creation. Many PS3 owners were under the impression that the game would come bundled with Battlefield 1943.

As this is flat out not the case, entertainment law firm Edelson McGuire is taking legal action on behalf of angry consumers everywhere. @Battlefield (via Twitter) had informed followers of the unfortunate bait and switch… but followers aren’t everyone, and Twitter hardly a sweeping form of outreach. So if you were wondering why PS3 owners are getting the “Back to Karkand” DLC a week early, it’s DICE’s way of making a bashful apology.
