Everyone might be aware that this year has been one of the best years in gaming. With dozens of amazing triple AAA titles one can come to ask, how can they top that?

Well, lets just think for a sec…why not bring a new console or two into the foray? Developers such as Ubisoft, EA and other unnamed Sony studios are supposedly hard at work on the next generation software products. Of course, no studio can comment on whether or not they indeed have these kits, but based on the way historyhas played out, we will usually see one be announced first (Wii U) and the following E3 we will most likely get some announcement regarding new development tools for making the next big IPs.

The big question is who could it be? Santa Monica is still finishing Starhawk and God of War IV. Sucker Punch has Sly Cooper in the works…..the world may never know. Or maybe that God of War IV will be on the next system. But we do know this: one Sony studio has ceased development on PS3 all together in preparation for the next system.

What we can expect: GDC next year might have some very interesting tech demos.

Yes, this is pure speculation and it should be taken with a grain of salt. It is nice to wonder and try to create the best scenario in your head though.
