Modern Warfare 3 to Get 20 pieces of DLC Over 9 Months

For everyone that believes Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is simply an expansion upon Modern Warfare 2, well, you might have a bit of a point. But does that make the ridiculous amount of DLC that will be dropping for MW3 an expansion of an expansion? Either way, get ready for tons of add-ons as there are 20 pieces of DLC promised for the newest installment of the Call of Duty series.

If you’re not great at math, that means just over 2 pieces of DLC per month. You might end up spending more time downloading things for the game than actually playing the game. Let’s hope this means a price drop on the cost of DLC, though. I can’t imagine gamers dropping $15-20 a pack. Oh wait, millions just dropped $60 on what is basically a map pack? Never mind. Enjoy your pools of money.

I’m picking up Elite as soon as I buy the game (1 week after) which constitutes at an extra $55 (£35 for UK folk). Now if the price does drop to say 800 MS points a pack, which gamers can pick up in stores for $11 (£7), then you’re making a saving on that after 5 pieces and getting 15 free. You’re right about the more time downloading though AJ and I feel that some might need to consider freeing up some HDD space to fit the whole load of DLC onto their platform of choice.
