Call of Duty Elite Stumbles Out of the Gate

With Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 officially on store shelves Activision has activated Call of Duty Elite, the stat-tracking social network created by Beachead Studios. However, thanks to a huge influx of new players joining the service, Call of Duty Elite is off to a rough start with reports of sign-in errors and content holes.

The Groups and Clans portion of Elite appears to still be missing, and premium memberships haven’t been recognized in some cases. The mobile app has also yet to materialize, but has yet to be seen from the service. There is understandably going to be issues with the service as it gets started, as millions of copies of the game have been sold at this point and there’s a going to be a lot of kills to track.
