Assassin’s Creed Ads Feature Athletes, No One Knows Why

Is there something video game companies know that we don’t? Why do they keep putting random athletes in their ads? Id pulled the Los Angeles Clippers star Blake Griffin for their Rage campaign, and even though they worked him in in a humorous way it still really didn’t make sense.

Now Ubisoft has pulled Vikings running back Adrian Peterson, MMA fighter BJ Penn, and Bulls guard Derek Rose for their latest commercial for Assassin’s Creed: Revelations. Their appearances include putting on a hood and a number indicating their victims, battles, and escapes flashing on the screen. Then Ezio Auditore is shown with a hit count beside him.
