Ubisoft Montreal today anticipated the speed at which gaming outlets mercilessly devour the clandestine projects of developers – the newly announced Rainbow Six Patriots in this case – releasing a prototype video originally made to pitch the game within the studio. ARE YOU AMAZED YET?
Ubisoft Montreal will be leading development with the support of Ubisoft Toronto and Red Storm, promising a deep multiplayer experience that rewards concerted tactics, and split-second ethical decisions in the single-player (as the final few seconds of the video attest).
The premise: Team Rainbow will check the threat of a terrorist group called the “True Patriots, a highly-trained, well-organized revolutionary group that claim the American government is irrevocably corrupted by greedy politicians and corporate special interests.” Seems like Ubisoft didn’t slack off on finding a close-to-home, controversial backdrop.
Team Rainbow will be doing what they do best in a 2013 release on PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360.
