Namco Bandai today revealed that the upcoming Ridge Racer Unbound, for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 will be released on March 6, 2012 in North America.

The upcoming game is said to feature not only vehicular but environmental destruction, along with a new set of cars, which includes vintage muscle cars.

Single player mode will have gamers looking to impress Kara Shindo, the leader of a gang called Unbounded to try and build up street cred within Shatter Bay.  The game will feature various game modes including Domination Race, which encourages players to destroy everything on site.   There will be another mode called Survival Race that has players trying to avoid their own destruction while trying to finish in first place.

Other modes, including those for multiplayer will be revealed at a later time, while user generated content will be an option with the game’s City Creator.
