Mass Effect 3 Multiplayer a Side Order Only
Aaryn Flynn, the General Manager of BioWare’s Edmonton studio, has reiterated on behalf of the developer that multiplayer in Mass Effect 3 will be “very optional.” When multiplayer rumors started swirling last month, the company had to break the silence a little early, assuring fans to wait for word from BioWare itself before jumping to conclusions.
Flynn guarantees that the single-player completionists out there will miss out on nothing compared to those delving into the multiplayer experience, called “Galaxy at War.” Closing the trilogy of the sci-fi epic, BioWare seems to be keeping its fan base in mind while discretely adding the possibility of jumping into the skin of a Turian Sentinel (and much else besides).
Other features of ME the third include grenades (seriously… those weren’t around before), melee attacks dealt with Shepard’s omni-tool (see image above), and crisper combat mechanics.
Mass Effect 3 starts the fight for Earth on March 6th, 2012.
