Blizzcon Video Gem (NSFW)

The video below was showcased at the end of Blizzcon. Apparently Blizzard thought it would be appropriate to show a guy cursing every two seconds and flinging homosexual slurs at the members of the Alliance. The man in the video, named “Corpsegrinder”, thought his act was “funny”. Really? It’s a sad day when someone thinks that kind of humor is funny.

Now, don’t get me wrong there are good comedians who throw insults well. They use witty euphemisms and tastefully insult themselves and other people. This guy just uses a kind of humor that Neanderthals would laugh at. The guy also seems genuinely serious, albeit at some points he jokes about himself being a total nerd for playing WoW. Still I find it sickening that, in this day and age, this guy would lower himself just to be “funny”. Flying Spaghetti Monster help us all when the day comes that this type of comedy reigns supreme.

Oh but wait! Corpsedude did issue an apology:

Hey guys, we read and heard all the feedback from BlizzCon this year. The Corpsegrinder bit was never intended to be taken seriously. We are sorry that we offended anyone; everything at our shows is just meant in fun. Thank you all for speaking up. We’ll definitely keep this in mind for future shows. Our humblest apologies, Level 90 Elite Tauren Chieftain.

“Everything at our shows is just meant in fun”. That type of fun is what makes people go off the deep end dude. Not cool, just not cool at all. In all honesty the above apology just seems like a polite way of saying “F*** you guys, I’m going to tell my depraved jokes anyways.”
