99 Cent PSN Movies Disappear

This past August, Sony announced a reoccurring deal that would pop up every week on PSN. The deal offered movies for 99 cents, with new offers available every Tuesday. Renters would have 14 days to watch the movie from renting it, and 24 hours to watch it once starting it. Overall, it was a pretty solid deal for people who wanted to watch a movie on impulse and didn’t want to spend much.

Well, that service has disappeared. We’re not exactly sure what happened, it’s just gone. Granted, there weren’t always great films available, and with the popularity of Netflix and services like Redbox that also offer movies for cheap, but we’d still like to know where it went. Sony’s taken it away before and brought it back, so who can be sure if it’s gone for good. At the moment though, the 99 Cent films are no more on the PSN.
