Nintendo Announces First Ever Online Pokemon Tournament
Nintendo is taking their Pokemon to the world wide web in hopes of catching ’em all in it. The first ever online Pokemon tournament, sponsored and presented by Nintendo, will be taking place at the end of this month.
The event will be called the Pokémon Autumn Friendly and will pit Pokemon trainers up against one another, head to head, in a doubles battle mode tournament. You and 4 to 6 of your best trained Pokemon will do battle throughout the competition. Only Pokemon from Black and White will be available to use in the tournament, and no legendaries are allowed. All Pokemon over level 51 will be dropped to 50 for the event. There will also be regular drug testing in place and anyone caught juicing their Pokemon will steroids of Pokemon Growth Hormones will be banned.
The sign-ups for the tournament will be going from October 12-19, and the event will run from October 20-23. Sign up here.
