Hideo Kojima Doesn’t Want Metal Gear to Die, Even if He Does
Despite the fact that Metal Gear series creator Hideo Kojima says that every rendition of the Metal Gear franchise will be the last, it would appears he’s had a bit of a change of heart now. While giving a presentation at USC, Kojima stated his interest in keeping the series alive for as long as possible.
“First of all, I just want to say that as long as there are fans who want Metal Gear Solid, as a producer, I will always want to still make them and I want the series to continue, said Kojima. This is totally fair, anyone who creates a successful franchise wants to see it live on for generations. But then he kept talking. “So even after I die, I still would love to have the Metal Gear Solid series continue.” Alright, you’re creeping us out now, Kojima. To be honest, at this point I wouldn’t be surprised to find out that Hideo Kojima has been dead for years and has just been projecting holograms of him talking and presenting things that he created while he was alive, things that were so technologically advanced that they still impress us when they are rolled out today. Either that, or he was speaking at some sort of event where the goal was to make everyone in the room really depressed. On the plus side, Metal Gear isn’t going anywhere so that’s good.
