Today is the day that Spider-Man is launched into the future. Beenox Studios is bringing the web-slinger back to the future with Spider-Man: Edge of Time. If the trailer is any indication, this looks like one hell of a button-mashing brawler. There should be plenty of different ways to take out the baddies in present time and in 2099.

With a great licence comes great responsibility, so let’s hope that Beenox doesn’t fall into the same trap that previous Spider-Man game developers have. Repetition, poor transportation, and crappy stories have doomed our friendly neighborhood wall-crawler before. Maybe all it will take is a metal suit and some futuristic powers to bring Spidey back to his old self again. Check out the trailer and see if it’s worth a shot:
