Is XBOX Live Being Hacked?

According to a post from All About the Games, there have been multiple reports of XBOX Live issues today. Players trying to play games such as COD, Battlefield 3, and Gears of War 3 on multiplayer have been complaining of disruption to their service.

Microsoft has yet to release an official statement about the problems. So what is going on? Well it could be hackers but then again some guy could have just pressed a button and made things FUBAR. The same thing happened here in California when some dude at an electric company pressed the wrong button, thousands of homes lost electricity and people thought it was a terrorist attack. So just chill people, things will hopefully return to normal soon.

YES! I was hacked yesterday and $150 of MS points was charged to my credit card. Furthermore XBOX LIVE / MS is handling this VERY badly. They said your account is locked for up to 24 days and if you want to get on line to use say NETFLIX which I’ve paid for you are OUT OF LUCK. Too bad. Also they said it was my fault that my account was HACKED because I must have given people access to my account through “social networking and or chating” so essentially go screw yourself. If I want to go on XBOX LIVE then I have to buy a new account otherwise forget all the money you’ve spent on NETFLIX and ZUNE. And any refunds could take 10 business days to recover. Also they said it was impossible for a person to HACK into my account other than due to my carelessness because XBOX LIVE is SO secure. The worst customer service – attitude and utterly unhelpful.
