Crysis on consoles. MAXimum resolution.

If you thought the original Crysis, soon to come out on consoles, has lost any of its shine… you’re wrong. It has been confirmed that the console versions will support not only 720p (1280×720) resolution, but also 1080p (1920×1080) – something not very common for couch-gaming. This means you will be able to play this once-PC-hungry title on both Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 in Full HD. I know, some of you may think it’s not a big deal. But we’re talking about Crysis here. The game which was so future-proof that it literally ate computers alive (at least those that tried to max it out, anyway). It’s nice to see Crytek put in the extra effort in trying to bring this PC experience in full quality also to consoles. We don’t know details about the framerate, but we’ll be sure to tell you when we find out. And as we’ve informed you earlier, don’t forget to buy Crysis on PSN/Xbox LIVE when it comes out on October 4!
