In an interview with Develop, Rovio Mobile, the developer behind some game called Angry Birds (I kid), said they are actively looking at getting into the publishing business.
“We have some plans for this area, but not ready to announce yet,” said Rovio executive Peter Vesterbacka. “If we do something in the publishing area, you can expect it to be a bit different.”
The developer had previously signed a deal with Twentieth Century Fox to create Angry Birds Rio, with overall sales of Angry Birds games being in excess of $70 million.
News also came out today that the company is in talks with Starbucks about offering social gaming leaderboards to customers, allowing them to compete against each other.
