Hideo Kojima is a Tease in Tokyo

When Hideo Kojima takes the stage at an event, gamers’ ears perk up. So when he took the podium at the Tokyo Games Show, it was assumed that some information on Metal Gear Rising would be shared. No such luck. Instead, Kojima simply tantalized gamers with a tease of a new game utilizing new technology.

Not much was said about the game, simply that it would make use of the Fox Engine and a technology called Transfarring. Transfarring is said to allow integration between Playstation 3 and Playstation Vita platforms. So the new game from Kojima may have the ability to hop screens from the portable Vita to the media-machine PS3. Unfortunately, we won’t know exactly how any of this will work for quite some time. Kojima stated that “it may take awhile” to roll out a product.

I’d hate to try to compete with the creative mind of Hideo Kojima, but one does have to wonder what the next game will be. What are your thoughts?
