Rollercoaster Tycoon Coming to 3DS

by on September 7, 2011

Remember the good ole’ days back on the PC with the Tycoon franchise? You could build anything you wanted and, more accurately for me, destroy everything you wanted too. Well, the fun is being brought to your 3DS in 2012 with Rollercoaster Tycoon from n-Space and Atari.

The game with the traditional game from the PC, along with the Coaster Creator, a “Coaster Story” mode that will provide challenges within a story, and “Park Sandbox” mode to allow you to build whatever you want. You’ll also be able to share all your creations wirelessly with friends. This means one thing for my friends and I: Who can kill the most people on a single roller coaster? It may be more painful (or rewarding) to watch the fiery explosions in 3D. This also means you’ll be able to trap that asshole park goer that you catch littering and keep him on a platform away from bathrooms until he pees himself. Yeah, I am a vindictive park owner. Don’t throw your trash on the ground, it’s a simple rule.

Is it just the original title ported (with additional features)? That’s a shame. I wish they would have ported the third instead, and simply brought back the ability to kill those annoying guests that can’t seem to follow your pathways and/or find the damn exit.

That being said, a portable version of any Roller Coaster Tycoon is always a plus.
