Call of Duty XP: New Features for MW3 and Call of Duty Elite
The excitement just never ends at the Call of Duty XP! Paintball, celebrities, custom console, and a brand new car! Now there are brand new features revealed for Modern Warfare 3 along with a new game titled Call of Duty Elite!
The new features in CoD: Modern Warfare 3 are as follows:
Strike Packages – these include Assault Strike, Support Strike, Specialist Strike, and others!
New weapons proficiency system – This gives the players the ability to modify their load-out to suit their individual play-style.
And More! – User generated game modes, universal player card, loyalty rewards, and new game modes such as Kill Confirmed and Team Defender.
That’s not all, these new features will work in unison with the new Call of Duty Elite game coming out alongside with Modern Warfare 3. This new game is a social gaming platform which will better the Call of Duty multiplayer experience. Other features of Elite include: tat tracking and performance analytics, integrated Facebook friend support, clan creation and management, and a device-agnostic hub for all things Call of Duty, connecting gamers via console, smartphone, tablet and web. Gamers who use this system will also be able to customize matches via mobile phone and send them to the game immediately. As soon as you start up the game, the changes will be there waiting for you.
Premium membership also awaits those who purchase Call of Duty Elite. With this premium annual membership, players will receive a year’s worth of Modern Warfare 3 DLC available monthly during the 9-month DLC period along with daily competitions for in-game and real-world prizes. Call of Duty Elite will launch this November with an all-inclusive DLC premium annual membership for the annual price of $49.99, less than $5 per month
But wait there’s mooooore. Call of Duty Elite TV will be offering original episodic shows featuring Hollywood talent which includes executive producers Ridley Scott and Tony Scott. Ridley Scott Associates is working Friday Night Fights, a new program which will showcase battles in Call of Duty multiplayer. Additionally, digital content and production studio DumbDumb, led by Will Arnett and Jason Bateman in partnership with Ben Silverman’s multimedia studio, Electus, is also working on content for Call of Duty Elite. The production company is in development on two new programs, Cocked Hammers and n00b tube!, both airing this fall on Call of Duty Elite TV.
Omg there’s even more. Call of Duty XP attendees were given swag in the form of a redemption code for a free copy of Modern Warfare 3 Hardened Edition when it comes out. Hardened edition includes a free years membership of Call of Duty Elite featuring all Modern Warfare 3 DLC.
