Who needs Diablo 3 when Torchlight 2 is coming out? That’s what Runic Games is likely banking on, especially after announcing a final price and class list today.
So how much will it be to co-op the curbstomping of demons? A scant $20, the same as OG Torchlight a couple years back, which means instead of buying lattes for a week you can buy a game to last at least two weeks. CEO of Runic, Max Scahfer, spoke briefly on the price aspect, saying,
“Everyone who wants to play Torchlight 2 will be able to comfortably afford to do so, and they’ll be able to play with their friend online or via a LAN, or play single player offline, all with no further purchase.”
Why, how kind, sir.
As for the classes, the Outlander, Berserker, and Engineer have already been revealed, but the final class is now known: the Embermage. Is it wrong that the first thing that popped in my head was GotGame writer Ember’s avatar? Anyways, Torchlight 2 is still slated for a release in 2011 with no date finalized. At least it’s easy to put aside $20 to buy the game if interested.
