The originally planned HD Kollection was cancelled, true, but Netherrealm Studios like to please their fans every now and then and therefore we will be getting said kollection afterall – only this time it won’t be in glorious HD… What does that exactly mean, you ask?

This “new” kollection will feature arcade-perfect renditions of Mortal Kombat, Mortal Kombat II and Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3.

On top of that this triple pack will support online play, trophies/achievements and leaderboards!

It will be coming out already next week, on August 31st, for only $9.99! What platforms? PS3, Xbox 360 and PC! Yes – even PC!

It is a shame that this won’t be in HD, nor 3D… but honestly? It’s better than nothing and as a fan of the series I’m actually looking forward 😉
