14 Year Old Stabs His Great-Grandmother to Death Because He Was Told To “Stop Playing a Computer Game”

The title says it all, well most of it anyways. This 14 year old was told that he would have to “stop playing a video game in a little while” and he just would not hear any of that. He grabs a sword, stabs his great-grandmother to death, and then attacks his grandmother. Fortunately the grandmother was only injured and she barricaded herself in a room then contacted police. The police show up on the scene, the kid is waving the sword in the air and has a pellet gun in hand as well. The kid shoots out two patrol car windows, but the cops were sensible enough to not shoot at the kid. The police officers instead distract the kid with an explosive and then sent in a police dog. The kid fended off the dog with the butt of his pellet gun, but in the end an officer got him with a tazer gun.

Apparently situations like this have happened twice before with the 14 year old. The kid didn’t kill anyone in the previous assaults but he was sent to get a psychiatric evaluation and was sent back home both times. Oh how the media will eat this up like a voracious pack of vultures.

In the end, we obviously have a case here where the kid is obviously a danger to society. Not because he plays video games but either because of his upbringing or mental health, just because he was sent home after his psychiatric evaluations both times doesn’t mean he’s not a wacko as you can see from the recent stunt he pulled. The boy needs psychiatric help, and despite what the media has said or will say this assault is not the result of video games. People kill people, video games do not kill people.

Thanks for posting the article. I have to agree with you – unfortunately the media will eat this one alive. Those of us with common sense will ask the appropriate questions, starting with: “Where are his parents?”

That’s exactly what I was asking when reading this article. Gotta love the media.

What was this kid thinking? He makes it seem like all gamers are physcos.

It’s the media that makes all gamers seem like psychos.
