Sony Helps Injured Student

by on August 11, 2011

Sony’s European is giving back to the youth roughed up during the London riots this week. Ashraf Haziq, a student originally from Malaysia, had his PSP taken by muggers while they “helped” him get to his feet. This all went down before the eyes of an intrepid videographer, who filmed the event from what seems to be the balcony of a flat.

The criminals in question surely noticed Haqiz’s bloodied and broken jaw, using that as an advantageous handicap in their morally heinous crime. But after noticing the Tumblr set up for Haziq, SCEE employee (and director of marketing) Alan Duncan agreed to meet up with Ashraf in the hospital to present the 20 year old with games and a new PSP. Namco Bandai has also revealed intentions to send a care package of games to the student.

Maybe the world isn’t full of heartless bastards.
