Gabe Newell greets protesting fans

Two fans have decided to protest outside of Valve’s offices in Bellevue, Washington. What for, you ask? The release of Half-Life 3 of course! Why, you ask? Because it’s taking so long. We haven’t heard anything on Half-Life 3, nor HL2: Episode 3, since… since… forever! Sure, two people with cardboard signs probably can’t make a difference. Valve probably have their own timeframe and plans for the franchise, no matter how despressing for the average fan it may be. But there’s a light at the end of every tunnel. At least that’s what they say…

Gabe Newell, co-founder, the man himself, was kind enough to come out of the office and greet the two protestors – and hopefully also actually notice what’s written on those signs!

Reportedly though, he was so kind and friendly that he even bought them lunch!  What that means for Gordon Freeman we do not know.

Maybe something will be revealed at GamesCom next week. But really… just maybe. Stay tuned and in the mean time go play the original – or pray.
