The email exclusive Blizzard Insider has released an interview with Diablo 3 Lead Content Designer Kevin Martins concerning the upcoming beta test. Though little new information was actually revealed, there were some interesting tidbits. For example, the game has already been thoroughly tested internally, with Blizzard employees playing through the entire game over and over, writing reports and polishing content. This supports the rumor circulating that Blizz is pushing for a November (or “third quarter”) release date. Or maybe it’s just part of Blizz’s infamous meticulous testing phase. Either way, the game sounds very close to being done. Other information revealed: players will go through “peak and valley” difficulty moments, interact with NPCs during combat, and don’t need to worry about a WoW based party system with super fixed, rigid class roles.
