Australian graphics designers Eulideon have made a big claim: to have the best graphics in the world. Utilizing what it calls “Unlimited Detail” and “infinite geometry,” the company boasts $2m in support from the government and comparative JPGs.
So do the buzzwords of infinity, being the future, and eschewing polygons for increasingly small geometrical shapes mean anything? Based on the images, it looks like Bethesda’s typical graphical output with a slight shade more of detail. Not revolutionary, not shit, just not a “WOAH HOLY FUCK LOOK AT THE DETAILS” sort of deal. Hell, their own gallery basically looks like the difference between games in a series as technology improved.
Snarky comments aside, here’s their comparison of rocks. Euclideon’s INFINITE GEOMETRY is on the bottom.
Wow. This reminds me of the $10,000 speaker cable or any audiophile equipment using gold.
