Rambo Coming To A Console Near You

British people love Rambo. At least, Reef Entertainment does enough to make a game based on the mush mouthed killing machine. The smallish company, best known for titles like Sniper Elite, will expand its territory into new, true HD consoles with plans for the Rambo game to come to Xbox 360 and PS3 along with PC.

Not only has Reef acquired the rights to Rambo, they’ve gone ahead and teamed up with StudioCanal for the game effort in order to ensure the best killing experience. Seeing this game as the first step to world domination, the move to make the game comes on the company’s understanding that now is the time for a shooter. Or rather, some time next year is the time for a shooter to coincide with Expendables 2. Reef CEO Peter Rezon summed it up as,

“[…]we felt now was a good time to do something special with this license.”

No word on how the NES Rambo title will influence the new-gen version, but one can hope for ambiguous walkways again.

If this game had Batman Arkham Asylum’s CQC combat system and the gears of war cover mechanics…it would rule the worlds.
