Kingdom Hearts 3D Uses Confusion on Disney: Critical Hit!
In an interview with Famitsu, Tesuya Nomura talked about the lates Kingdom Hearts game: Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance. Nomura stated that he had been talking to Disney for approval but they seem to be having a rough time with comprehending a plot even more twisted and crazy than the previous Kingdom Hearts games.
If Disney is having trouble understanding the plot then the game must REALLY be good. Convoluted story lines always make the best games (fer sure).
Nomura did actually want to make the game more simple, but the creator of Final Fantasy, Hironobu Sakaguchi, led him down the path of insanity. He basically said that Kingdom Hearts would be unable to compete unless it had a storyline much more complex than that of the Final Fantasy series. That piece of advice gave us what we have today: Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2, Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories, Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep, and Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days. All wonderful titles that you have either enjoyed or disliked completely. The Kingdom Hearts fanbase is strong and welcome the complexity of the Kingdom Hearts storyline (at least I do anyways). It’s a change from the linearity that so many games today have brought to the table.
In the end, I can not wait for Kingdom Hearts 3D to come out. Now I just need to purchase a 3Ds…
