‘HBO Go’ soon also on consoles!

Until now HBO Go was available on laptops, smartphones and other devices (like the iPad/iPhone). Now the streaming service is heading also to home consoles!

Free to HBO subscribers, Go offers a wide range of over 1400 shows and movies to choose from. Be it popular shows like Game of  Thrones, Boardwalk Empire, True Blood, The Pacific, Entourage, Hung and many others, or sports, documentaries and specials. Also included are of course blockbuster movies. Think of it as a huge online archive loaded with content you can access basically anywhere and at any time.

No word on when exactly the service will launch yet. However, chances are it could be as soon as this fall or possibly even sooner. It would make for good timing, since around that time HBO Go will be making its debut in several European markets.

No word either on which consoles will exactly be carrying the service, but we expect nothing else than the PS3 and X360. Possibly the Wii U in the future as well, as it will be able to support HD.
