Want some good news? OK. Next year, come the proper fiscal start for 2K Games, the sequel to Borderlands, aptly titled Borderlands 2, is coming. In an official announcement today from 2K’s senior manager of interactive marketing, Elizabeth Tobey, confirmed the game’s existence and its development for PS3, PC, and Xbox 360.
Waiting sucks, but if you’re headed for PAX, you’ll get to see the game early. 2K’s PAX Prime booth will feature a first look at the game, so get ready to be amazed. Before PAX, they’ll bring the Borderlands to Gamescom on the 17th of this month to its end on the 21st. Chances are they’ll be showing off a good amount of the promised new weapons, gear, and skills as much as the new landscapes and characters, like a preview or something.
The release date will be some time after the 1st of April next year. Please don’t let this be an early April Fools joke…
