Deus Ex: Human Revolution Goes Gold

After three years of development by Eidos-Montreal and patient waiting by anxious gamers, Deus Ex: Human Revolution has officially gone gold. The game is complete and will be available on store shelves August 23.

The news came earlier today from art director Jonathan Jacques-Belletete on Twitter. Eidos-Montreal general manager Stephane D’Astous gave the official press release today, stating, “We couldn’t be more excited that Deus Ex: Human Revolution has gone gold and will soon be in the hands of expectant gamers. As the first release for Eidos-Montreal, it’s impossible to express how extremely proud we are of the final product and all of the hard work that went into its creation.”

The amount that is packed into the game sure sounds like they went for the gold, which is a nice change of pace in an industry where companies will happily settle for releasing a game more worthy of silver, or in some cases seventh place in a qualifier event. Deus Ex: Human Revolution will be looking to score higher than a 6.8 from even the Russian judges when it drops on Xbox 360, PS3, and PC.
