After the news that Mega Man Legends 3 was shelved due to gamers not doing Capcom’s work for them, people refuse to let the game die. A blog over at getmeoffthemoon.blogspot.com called “100,000 Strong for Bringing Back Mega Man Legends 3” has begun to raise awareness of the plight of Mega Man fans.
Crazily enough, it might actually work. With just under 23,000 supporters on Facebook and about 400 other people fervently retweeting their updates, the grassier than grassroots campaign might get enough steam to call for action by Capcom. All they want to do is let the devs know that people want their Legends – that’s all, really.
Admirable, yes, but very likely an ill-fated act of charity as the lack of Devroom action is what doomed the game once. Something says that 100,000 people still not doing Capcom’s work will just lead to a pointlessly long series of petitions and internet shouting matches – I mean, it didn’t save Arrested Development.
