Marvel Games Getting Hollywood Voices
Games are becoming more and more of a full-blown media production, and Activision is taking it a step closer. The upcoming Marvel universe games will feature some prominent names in the world of Hollywood lending their voices to characters.
When you get your hands on a copy of Spider-Man: Edge of Time, keep your ears open for the sound of Val Kilmer, who will be voicing the villainous Walker Sloan. Spidey will get some friendly tones as well, with Laura Vandervoort of Smallville fame as Mary Jane, and Katee Sackhoff from Battlestar Galactica will provide Black Cat’s purrs.
If the Spider-Man line up doesn’t do it for you, perhaps you’ll be soothed by Heroes‘ Milo Ventimiglia, as he’ll be giving a voice to one of the three new mutants in the upcoming game X-Men Destiny. Alongside Milo will be Scott Porter of The Good Wife and Jamie Chung of The Real World: San Diego (they can’t all be Hollywood level talent, alright?
Find out what it’s like when voice acting stops sounding fake and starts getting real when both these games drop later this fall.
