Summer is a great time of year, there is no school, whole days can be spent at the beach or pool, and there are BBQs every night. Summer sales are just one more reason why the months between June and September are the best, even if your wallet will be crying by the end. Sony, like Microsoft and Steam before it, has announced the details of its 2011 summer sale with 30% off a selection of games, starting July 12.
The list of PSN games on offer is nothing to turn your nose up at, unless you are without a PS3, then by all means. For those of you that do own the console, Sony is offering such games as Scott Pilgrim, Swarm and Dead Space: Extraction. All of the games will start at 30% off but, if you happen to have the PlayStation Plus subscription, the discount goes up to a 50% discount. The down side to all of this sale goodness is that it will only last for a week, so if any of these games are ones you wanted anyway, be sure to snag them before July 19 because that is when the sale will end.
Here is the full list of PSN Summer Sale games:
- Back to the Future – The Game (full series)
- Chime Super Deluxe
- Dead Space Extraction
- Hard Corps: Uprising
- Pac-Man Championship Edition DX
- PixelJunk Shooter 2
