Microsoft Brings Cloud Gaming to the Xbox 360

by on July 5, 2011

Earlier this year Microsoft revealed plans to bring cloud storage to the Xbox 360.  Today the word went out that they have made good on their E3 announcement to integrate cloud gaming by opening up the service to Xbox 360 owners.

Microsoft’s cloud service will allow gamers to access their saves, gamertags, friends lists, Microsoft points and achievements from any console without the need of a storage device.  At the moment there are only a handful of Xbox Live Arcade games that are compatible with the service, but full integration is expected once Microsoft releases the new user interface update.
