Former I Am Alive Developers Take on New Title

Although development team Darkworks has given over I Am Alive to Ubisoft Shanghai, they have not been idle and have just announced a new game, Black Death.

Unlike the 15th Century plague that swept Europe, this game features a chemical fog that turns people into mutated monsters, which is a good move for the game, as the actual Black Death would have made for a rather boring horror FPS.

While little is known about this new game, some gameplay mechanics have been revealed such as the ability to manipulate the fog, create chemical weapons and the ability to choose how to take down (or out) the mutants.

There is no announcement on which platforms the game will be appearing on, and no publisher has been named for the title.

The fact that I Am Alive might be gone for good, breaks my little gamer heart. I was in love with this game since the first announcement. The idea behind I Am Alive sounded creative and like a great break from the remakes and sequels we are currently being force fed.

But, as a HUGE horror fan, I always gladly accept the announcement of a new title for the survival-horror family. Even if they usually suck.

Thanks for the info, Vicky!! 🙂

You need to have some faith! I’m sure that the game will come out someday.

I was actually really excited for this game too, so it’s kinda sad to see it get avoided

I agree with you guys, I was so pumped about I Am Alive and then it just quietly vanished, which makes me really sad. Honestly I would rather play I Am Alive only because I am a huge baby when it comes to horror games. It is actually painful to watch me play them. I freak myself out more than the game ever could.
