Bethesda has announced that buyers that preorder the upcoming The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion sequel and final installment of the Elder Scrolls Series (maybe? the cinematic trailer hints at this) Skyrim will be receiving a “premium quality map” with their purchase of the fantasy sandbox epic. This applies for preorders on all systems (Windows, XBOX 260 and PS3). The picture released shows a slightly disappointing looking placemat sized paper map/poster obscured by copies of the video game box. A sweet gesture in the same tradition of the maps included in previous Elder Scrolls games, but if only we could see a free cloth map instead. I’m not complaining too much though. This series has been a continually mesmerizing must buy for years, and the free map only sweetens the deal.
