You know how I predicted that the PSP God of War games would be remastered in HD?
Sometimes, it’s nice to be (partially) right. I have been writing a series of articles entitled “PSP Remasters: What I Want” in an attempt to uncover the PSP’s finest games and determine their likelihood of being ported. While the portable God of War games are not arriving under that banner, Sony is still giving them essentially the same treatment for the PS3.
Sony announced this week at E3 that Kratos’ portable adventures on the PSP, Chains of Olympus and Ghost of Sparta, will be getting the remastering treatment in high definition. The games will include full 3D implementation, PSN trophy support, and cleaner visuals. The trailer below paints a fairly clear picture of the improvements made in the leap from handheld to home console.
God of War: Origins will be released for the PlayStation 3 on September 13th, 2011.
