More Sonic 4 Episodes On The Way

Sega likes money as much as gamers like Sonic.

If you finished Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 1 and was left hungry for more 2D Sonic goodness, Sega has your back.  For the rest of us?  Well, there’s really not much we can do about it, because more Sonic games are coming whether we like it or not.

“Commercially, it’s been hugely successful across all platforms,” revealed Sega of America’s Mike Hayes during an interview with Giant Bomb.

Despite the critical feedback of the downloadable title, the game sold well enough that Sega wants to continue making more.  Hayes also went on to state,

“I know there were some quality issues that we had there that we’ve taken on board and there will be further episodes following up on that.  I think the next one’s excellent. I think that’s going to overcome some of the issues that we had on the first one.”

There’s no word when the next episode of Sonic 4 will be released, but Sega seems committed (for now) to releasing more chapters in the hedgehog’s digital adventures.

Just give me Sonic Generations and I’ll be good, I wasn’t a huge fan of Sonic 4 anyways
