Mass Effect 3 at E3

The rumor that Mass Effect 3 will be Kinect compatible was confirmed today at E3.  Mass Effect 3 will use the voice recondition  feature of the Kinect to issue commands to squad mates in combat and choose dialogue options when interacting with other members of the Mass Effect world.

While in combat the Kinect voice feature will replace the command options by saying your teammate’s name and then issuing an instruction.  For example, at one point Liara and Garrus, the two team members that were with Shepard during the demo, were told to move forward and use grenades.  During dialogue, rather than selecting a choice from the radial wheel with the controller, it was read aloud.

Update: Mass Effect 3 now has a set release date: March 6, 2012.

I think it is just cause DICE is helping Bioware in creating some of the weapons for the game and I’m sure they’ll do a bang up job with the sound quality of the weapons. That’s what they’re known for.
