Admit it, Kinect owners have been dying for a Hulk Hogan video game.
And who would blame them? In a bizarre and head-scratching announcement this morning, Majesco unveiled Hulk Hogan’s Main Event, a wrestling game for the XBox 360 Kinect peripheral. The developer, Panic Button LLC., has made other casual games such as Attack of the Movies 3D and Go Play Lumberjacks.
Based on the press release, the game definitely seems to be targeted towards a more casual gaming audience. Players will apparently be creating and customizing their own pro wrestling personalities and training with the Hulkster himself. Gamers will also be able to customize their entrance music in addition to body tattoos, hair, body size, and more. The Kinect sensor will track the player’s every move, which will be translated into hard-hitting moves, combos, and yes, even your favorite Hulkamania poses. A tag team mode and backyard brawl type of match will be included in the game, along with potentially more undisclosed modes of gameplay.
Hogan had this to say in the press announcement:
“Listen up, people! You will feel the power of Hulkamania when you step into this game. Whether you are taking the damage or selling the pain, this game will let you unleash your inner wrestler as you hype up the crowd while putting the hurt on anyone that stands in your way!”
I’m glad to see that Hulk is so enthusiastic about his own game. Unfortunately, no release date for Hulk Hogan’s Main Event has been revealed yet, though we may hear something about it at E3 very soon.
