Greetings and Salutations

by on May 27, 2011

Hello to all of you at GotGame, and those of you just passing through, I am Victoria Medina, one of the newest members of the GotGame team (This is where the awkward pause would be, were this a conversation).  Hm, well let me tell you a little bit about me, in case you happen to be wondering who I am, or what business I have writing your news.

I have loved games from an early age, getting my first taste when I was around four with a shiny new NES.  It was love at first sight and as I got older I maintained my affection for video games.  I have played games on just about every console, whether I owned it or not, and I currently own every current generation console except the Wii.  PC gaming did not come until later, but I am no less in love with my PC games and spend quite a bit of time alternating between my consoles and my PC.  My taste in games is as varied as the consoles I own, and I enjoy just about anything including, but not limited to, FPS (all-time favorite being GoldenEye for the N64), RPG both Western and Japanese and Platformers.

When I am not playing games, or reading about the newest games, or doing research for an upcoming game, I enjoy reading and my tastes range just as greatly in books as they do in video games.  I am currently reading The Prince by Machiavelli, Sherlock Holmes and A Feast for Crows by George R.R. Martin.  I am always looking for new books to devour, and welcome suggestions.

Want to know something else?  Go ahead and ask, there is quite a bit I have left out.  Got to keep the mystery alive somehow.  Jokes aside it is fantastic to be working here at GotGame and I look forward to getting to know all of you better.
