Nintendo 3DS Will Hurt Your Children’s Eyes

by on December 31, 2010

Similar to telling your kids that not to sit too close to the TV because you’ll go blind, telling them to turn off their 3ds is actually the right thing to do, because this video game does cause harmful effects.

Nintendo even issued a warning that kids under the age of six should not use the 3ds in the 3d mode because their vision is still in their developmental stage. The way the 3D mode works gives different images to the eyes and impacts the growth and development of the human eye. They recommend that the children rest their eyes every 30 minutes also due to excessive play to not harm their eyes.

There will actually be a 3D lock in the mode where parents can make sure their kids aren’t playing in this mode hurting their eyes. Some of the content of the 3Ds is still pretty weak and the games aren’t quite completely developed yet. But we’ll see how well the product turns out.
