Kinect Coming to PC

by on December 24, 2010

A game developer released that Microsoft’s Kinect controller will soon work with Windows computers. The Game Divine Souls, recently released by GamePrix, is a multiplayer role playing game. According to GamePrix, they are scheduled to support Kinect and that many game companies with games for the Pc are trying to incorporate the Kinect into their gaming system.

So far Microsoft hasn’t confirmed if any of this is true. GamePrix might have misheard information wrong, just because there isn’t much evidence toward this. Some hackers have created unofficial applications for Kinect, using Xbox and Windows PC applications. Microsoft can realize this aspect and possibly expand their product because PC users are much more prominent than the Xbox. Who wouldn’t want to get up and move to control their role playing game on their pc, this is the future of gaming.

However, a few years back Microsoft made Xbox Live available to PC game developers and this never really took off. And even for PC only some games could possibly use the Kinect. This has real potential but also it could bomb and be a bad idea. Only time can tell what Microsoft tries to do.
