Don’t Play Kinect Games Early

Microsoft Corporation has issued a warning to anyone who has a copy of the new Kinect games that are supposed to release next week.

Inserting one of the several Kinect Games into your Xbox will disable your Xbox Live because of the system update is required that’s currently not available. As a warning, if you receive a copy and perform a title update, it will also update your console to the new dashboard.

However, the update isn’t the newest version and every time you sign into your Xbox Live, it will try to update a version that doesn’t exist on the server. Your system then will be locked out because you can’t connect to Live without the latest version.

This should only be a temporary problem. Since many companies received shipments of the games ahead of time for promotion reasons, they are having these problems that Microsoft is still trying to fix. The games will still work, but until November 4th, these customers will temporarily locked out of Xbox Live.

Follow this advice don’t play the Kinect before it’s supposed to be played.
