See I think portal 2 is absolutely worth the full price, even if the game is short, I have been playing it with friends online and that is a fantastic experience, especially since all of my friends live so far away.
8 dollars and change was a great price for Oblivion GotY, but Dungeon Siege III I think is not worth $50.
