IGN is reporting that Sony has ended its relationship with developer SuperBot Entertainment, which was responsible for the development of PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale.

In a statement to IGN, Sony stated, “We have had a positive working relationship with this talented studio, and wish them the best of success in their next endeavor. PlayStation All-Stars: Battle Royale and the title’s forthcoming DLC releases will continue to be fully supported by Santa Monica Studio.”

SuperBot Entertainment, while rumored to be closing, has actually stated that they will continue to operate and are working on other objects, while confirming that the relationship with SCEA “ended on good terms.”

The upcoming DLC will include new characters, namely Kat (Gravity Rush), Emmett (Starhawk) and a Heavenly Sword/WipeOut stage.
