IGN Reportedly Being Auctioned Off
IGN may be parting ways with News Corp.
A report by Wall State Journal states that News Corp. is consulting with investment bank Allen & Co. to sell off IGN and its related sites through an auction.
The report comes after the failure to sell IGN for $100 million. Companies that showed interest in the sale were Break Media and SAY Media, according to WSJ.
Interesting news…I wonder if the company is bleeding money or if News Corp. just wants to get away from gaming in general.
