Nintendo fans have no doubt been excited about Activision’s Call of Duty: Black Ops II making its way onto the Nintendo Wii U next month (Nov. 18 to be exact).
However, after the publisher had previously stated that the game could run at 60fps and at 1080p, gamers have been asking the question as to whether or not that 1080p is native or if the console will upconvert it.
Today, an Activision spokesperson confirmed to us via email that “The game is not natively 1080p”, which of course means that it’s the Wii U that will be able to upconvert it, since the system supports the format.

No real proof since we can’t see their email address, only yours. Why would you purposefully snip that off?

James I cut off her email address because the public doesn’t need to see her email address…it is for media use only and the last thing they need is gamers bombarding their email. Just relax dude it’s not the end of the world.

I’m sure if I left her email visible there would still be folks who say its a fake email address or something because she wouldn’t reply to emails from the public.

I pretty sure info like this is contradicting what they have on the web.
I would expect, people are asking if it is native 1080P, if not what is it running at.
Have they ever stated how much the current gen systems are running at sub-HD and upscalled?
kinda rough but since this wasn’t made ground up for wiiu it’s kinda expected.

@Omegas I wouldn’t be surprised if the demo I played was running at 1080p upconverted because it did look really good. I think people are really going to enjoy it regardless of a lack of native 1080p. Frame rate was top notch too.

You removed “news” because they requested it? Are you a gaming news site, or a press release site? I’ve lost enough respect with MSM.. seeing you do things like removing email is just sickening. It’s time to stand up for yourself andreport the whole truth, with evidence to support them… Not only what and how they want you to report. Grow a pair.

Are you stupid? We didn’t remove “news” we removed an email screenshot which isn’t necessarily appropriate to post in the first place; just done to shut up idiots like you who think we’re lying.

I don’t get why people can’t believe something like “not natively in 1080p”. It’s not a game breaker; we’re not claiming the game got cancelled, we’re just stating the answer to a simple question some readers had about the game’s resolution that we asked for them. If you can’t deal with the answer and it breaks your heart, deal with it.

Not surprising considering the PS3 and 360 versions aren’t even natively 720p.
