The Lost Ride (CD-i) – Retro Review

I take a look at a rather obscure CD-i game, which actually manages to get some impressive feats done on that system everyone just loves to hate. The game also has an interesting history with some big names from today. Does this all mean the game is fun though? It is still CD-i after all… well let’s find out shall we!

Wow! I had no idea a roller coaster game could be so cool. I love riding coasters. (Hollywood Rip Ride Rocket-Orlando; Giant Dipper-Santa Cruz) Are there any good ones in the Netherlands?

Coasters are awesome! Would love to visit the Orlando area sometime and check out the parks there for some fun rides action.

Over here we have a couple of parks and most have at least one roller coaster. Most are aimed more towards the younger ones though and aren’t to thrilling. For the best coasters here, you’d have to go to Walibi Holland. They have some interesting ones and a couple of firsts for Europe at least. I’m pretty sure you can find the rides on YouTube, although they might be listed under Walibi World (old name). Best ones there are: Goliath (really nice airtime), El Condor (hanging coaster), Speed of Sound (forward/backward coaster) and the Xpress.

Good vid that game did seem fairly tortuous the save energy loss thing is nonsense!

Thanks man! The game can be very annoying for sure and that energy drain on the mapscreen is just unfair.
